Ubuu, you have to know about this upcoming game. It's the most Yume Nikki-esque thing I've seen since a long, long time, not to mention it's just awesome.

Have any of you guys played Faraway Story? For those of you who don't know what Faraway Story is, its an RPGmaker game translated by vgperson. The game has item creation mechanics as well as real time battle. Its a pretty solid game for most parts and the characters are really memorable for me which is why I'm recommending this game to you people.

1BitHeart is a game about a shut-in making friends in the cyberpunk future. Nanashi goes around town with friends, meets new people, bugs them until they send him friend requests, and solves exciting mysteries. It's simultaneously really cool and completely unreasonably adorable, and the chara designs + music are really well done!

It's currently in progress, with three of four chapters written and translated. They've been released every few months, so the conclusion should be released soon!

Here's a hot one:

I think Farmville is an iconic game, it defined a generation, the generation of the social networks, it's complex and its RPG elements make it feel unique.

I see it got a lot of inspiration from Atari 2600 games(gameplay wise)

It's like the social Harvest Moon, it's even better since you can really connect with other people.

What I really like about this game is the enchanting aesthetics mixed with the simple gameplay. It reminds me a lot of older games on that, I can even perceive the inspiration they got from the 90's era.
It's truly a game I recommend other people to play, they will definitely enjoy it.

So out of passing curiousity since I didn't see a thread for this (or maybe I just didn't lurk hard enough), has anyone played/this completed this game?

I just completed it in its entirety and I was just…got by the ending, I just couldn't keep it in at the end. I honestly recommend it to anyone looking for a Pixel Horror game that has a nice story.

Not even one jumpscare is good if not very well used, and I mean VERY WELL, jumpscares are the lowest form of horror device because they force a scary situation.

It's like in sitcoms when they do bad jokes and use laughs as background sound to be contagious.

The problem here is not the jumpscares, it's the fact that is ANOTHER game of the MULTIPLE horror games that are being made as of late because it's a fashion, which uses THE SAME tricks as the others to force """"scary"""" situations.
As other people said here, the game is well done, the art is actually pretty nice, but it isn't a game that is really new or anything at all. More of the same formula we've seen for at least 2 years.
It's like devs as of late misunderstand completely what horror really is and believe 2scary4u themes are pure horror, or something…

Pic related, the genre that these games should actually be to be good.
