What are your opinions in tool

I personally find tool to be one of the most unique and influential bands ever, I really love tool and they have impacted my life in more ways that I could describe with words. This also could just be me being a prog, and specially TOOL snob but whatever

I've heard this band is known for having overly devoted fans, but other than that, I don't really know anything about them. I barely know any of their songs tbh, but the ones I've heard sounded pretty good. I like prog, but I usually don't listen to metal tbh.
Still, I really liked "Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann)" and how that transitioned into "Rosetta Stoned", I thought the story in the song was pretty funny, poor guy didn't bring a pen… I liked how he went "holy fucking shit" on repeat after seeing the UFO ("flaming stealth banana" lol), it got really stuck in my head.
I only know the song(s) because a friend showed it to me and we jokingly reference them every now and then. (It's mostly us using the phrase "Picture this if you will")
