No.15310
Since the original YNFG Archive has been long abandoned, I've decided to revive it by creating a new one. Not to "provide a decentralized backup", as the OG archive stated, but rather for the sake of history preservation.

you should change the TLD to something non-national for your website, some countries and websites (reddit, lol) block it because of current events
No.15313
I've made a mirror to bypass the national TLD block.
https://archive.ymbr.site/Might update the archive itself soon. I've got quite a bunch of fangames for it.

>>15314Maybe I'm just stupid but do I need to download the files to get access to the archive? Can I not access it from the website?

No.15317
>>15315I would appreciate if you could download and seed the entirety of the archive, but if you don't want to - you can download just the fangames you need.
> Can I not access it from the website?I don't have that much of a storage to keep it on the server, so currently there's no way to access the archive from the website.
>>15316Thank you! Will remove it with the next archive update, which I'm planning to make after Dream Diary Jam.

for whatever reason i can't seem to connect to the updated version of the archive :<
No.15320
using a vpn. might try switching it to a different ip, tho i don't think that will have any effect. it's showing seeds, just not connecting to any of them :/

>>15322That's good.
Could it actually be that some ISP's has started to block russian IP addresses because of "muh ukraine"? Had to ask an overseas friend of mine to update the archive from me, so everyone else could download the archive from him.
No.15519
Another update has been made. Many new fangames and some old/new versions has been added.
Also, all the RM2k/2k3 fangames now can be played in browser.

>>15519Are the games being updated regularly, or do you stick to a specific version to play on the browser? e.g. is the 2kki version the latest one? How often do you update?
No.15522
>>15521I'm planning to update them along with archive itself, so whenever the archive updates - the games will be updated too.
And because the main route of archive distribution is still a torrent network, I can bet that not much of a people has downloaded an entire thing, and even less - keeping an eye on updates. So the updates of the games available for playing in browser will be not as frequent as you might like them to be.
No.15524
>>15523>>15522Right. I was just curious, considering there are games like 2kki that get regular updates, and sometimes people prefer to stick to a particular version because it has X or Y, instead of the latest one.
Thanks for the explanation! And thanks for all the work of hosting and updating the archive!

>>15524>>15557You're welcome.
By the way, if you find any games that gives out errors or just doesn't work - let me know.
