Hey guys!
A friend and I have developed a collaborative YNFG project called Outotsu Yume.
This game stars Kubotsuki and Totsutsuki, and currently has only a few maps.

The visuals look pretty awesome and the whole thing seems interesting, did you have to use a tsuki? Downloading.


The -tsuki thing at the end was sort of a thing to show it's more of a traditional fangame, but it was also because the names had a sort of ring to them.

Well, we use 8chan for the submissions and such, but the game's promotion has been mainly on Tumblr and Twitter.

This quick update adds some bugfixes, a little touch-up in an area, and a large set of maps by a developer you may recognize!

Hey everybody, sorry for not posting recently!
0.00d, hopefully, will be released in the next few days! There will be some large changes in Kubotsuki's rooms/areas, and two new Nexus doors.
That may actually be a good name for them.

He's the guy that needed worked on the most.
When development started, there was a less solid idea on how his stuff would go, and eventually I decided his campaign would need some reworking to make his part of the game more approachable and less constricted to one idea or feeling.
Also, a (kinda small) map for Totsutsuki is coming this next update as well.

0.00d is planned for release (hopefully) tomorrow.

Good luck with this, looks good. I would probably have liked to help if it was made in VX Ace. Just make sure you don't use others resources, those forest sprites looks awfully familiar.

Thank you for your interest in this project. The materials in the rainy forest area and the starry forest area were created solely for this project by PSIWolf/BackBeatAnthem and SesakaTH, respectively.

Oh wait, I thought you were talking about >>11065, not >>11016. That was a map by M256 which I believe uses a free-use chipset from Charas.

The starry-looking one was the last screenshot here, and the one he was talking about would technically be the first.

Not really worth arguing about at this point. Owl, you can talk to M256 if you think the graphics are a little too resemblant of another game, but otherwise things are fine.

Man I don't really want to sound like a douchebag or something, but it's pretty obvious which ones are the last and first pictures here.
Anyway, the stuff cleared up, no need to drag it along. The game is starting to look pretty cool.


I guess it's free to use so it's technically fine, but it's not very creative with a forest that you can see in literally 99% of rpgmaker 2k3 forests, with minimal change. I would talk to M256 and suggest he change it, at the minimum make some more unique sprites.

Maybe I'm slightly elitist but I think half the fun in these games is the spritework for me, and using something someone else made and which is in most other RM2k3 games takes the fun out of a map for me.

This version includes new ares for both protagonists and an update to the RPG Maker 2003 engine!



I've been getting reports of glitches coming from the new RPG_RT/RPG Maker 2003 update, including sound effects not playing and events related to showing pictures freezing (ex. Totsutsuki's instructions). Can anyone confirm this?


UPDATE: I believe updating the RTP to the officially-translated version will fix most of these errors.
