Captchas didn't work. Sticking to janitors while we try to think of something else.

I've noticed that almost every porn spam post links to the same urls. Would it be possible to blacklist that domain and automatically delete any post that links to it?

Yes, but the problem is that it's a living breathing human bean behind it. The problem would be solved easily a long time ago without need for intervention if that wasn't the case. Besides, yesterday the spammer changed up their links. And the spammer is known to also post political propaganda linking to threats and criminal activity, each time with a changed URL.

the mods at finalchan do it and it works pretty well tbh

I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement, but would it be possible to block ip addresses that have been active for less than a month?

For example, billy fuckwad gets banned for spamming, so he switches ip addresses. However, billy can't post from this ip yet because it hasn't been active for long enough

It would be even more effective if the attempted posts by these ips were visable, meaning you can preemptively ban them if they're spamming and/or ban evading

In order to "become an active user", you need to post. If you need a month to be able to post, and you can't post until that month passes, you are in a loop such that nobody who hasn't ever posted in uboachan won't be able to do so, forever. It nullifies the whole point since you can't get new users.

IPs are visible to mods and they can ban per IP, nothing new there.

Besides, not everyone has a static IP.
