Hey Everyone, I'm not sure if this belongs on here or not, but I'd like to take a chance.

I used some fanart for the cover (which was done by 古島紺＠飯田橋 [link] ), aswell as the image used behind the case (Unknown artist [link] ).

I actually took the concept for the cover itself from the image I used in the background, I loved the way they used colors and the blood splatter effect, so I did my best to recapture that effect wityhout using any of the original image. As for the image of Madotsuki on the cover, I only did minor touch-ups and some generic linework to make her look asleep. I also drew in her signature knife amidst the logo, I figured something Iconic from the game would look good.

This actually took me a lot longer than I originally thought it would, taking at least 4/5 hours.

I found out earlier that I had actually unintentionally left my Ver#2 incomplete, I had left the texture pixelated, so now I'll post the updated version.

Not much is different of course, but I did do more editing overall, I fixed some minor things and filled in some gaps in color.

Thanks for dealing with me on here, and helping me out with this project, I greatly appreciate it.

just a small tip anon you seem like you've just guessed with the proportions. drawing a fully fleshed out figure and drawing the clothing ontop is the best way to learn.

painting is really hard because you have to go background to foreground when you paint, or the strokes from the background will overlap the foreground— unless you use layers. it's really hard! I make that mistake a lot!!! and then i have to start over…

everyone's welcome to their own interpretations of yume nikki, kikiyama left it very open-ended.
i like to think of it spanning over a long time, a few years even. i draw my version of mado with eyebags because i like to play with the idea that she's tormented with her lucid dreams and tries to stay awake to avoid them. or they're from staring at a telly screen for too long, lol.

anyways have a shitai-san.
i looked up a few pictures of hit and run victims but i don't know how he got hit so i left it kind of ambiguous.

I always thought that the demon wasn't… excessively "demonic" or "sinful". i mean all it did was walk around and kiss you if you interacted with it.

I just made Madotsuki's room in Minecraft 1.0 vanilla Creative Mode. I would recreate this room in better quality, as well as the whole game, if I had mods. However, the necessary mods have not been updated to 1.0 yet. Still, I take pleasure in being the first one to recreate Yume Nikki in Minecraft aside from pixel art.
