It was good at first because it was nearly unknown. The creator wasn't under pressure, she didn't have to impress the fans, so she just did it the way she wanted to.

I like it, but you are right. due to the pressure of being in the spot light, the writer will attempt to add things from popular mangas eventually ruining the series.
