i admit i face palmed really hard, CN basically did a DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING because of the influx and stammered about saying "this isn't what we intended" but people are, or were flooding the front page of mathematical channel with that kind of message even after they took the video down, so the channel is in a bit of a lock down…
you type in adventure time in tumblr and scroll back a bit you'll find everyone making a big deal about it. the staff i follow are very silent about the whole thing as well.

Pretty much. I just got the impression that Marceline was getting mad at being hated on all the time. It's a kids cartoon, not a trashy romance novel.
Adventure Time is kind of dynamic. Just because Jake is afraid of vampires doesn't mean he would never get over it. Maybe this was meant to open the possibility of them getting along rather than IMMANENT CAT FIGHT in each episode they co-exist.
I have a hard time believing that it would be for a good cause rather than crazy fanboy entitlement but eh.

Maybe something will happen in the later seasons when Finn is older, idk.
